After working in the book industry for over 16 years, and having worked with some incredible creative talent - I knew I wanted to expand what I could offer as a freelance publicist. The result is Lit Up; offering practical advice and assistance to help creatives in their PR and promotion.

My aim is to help authors and illustrators better understand what would suit their needs and goals, to take control and take the initiative where necessary, and to provide more useful and focused information when working with their publishers. To set boundaries, explore interesting and empowering practices and help them tell their own authentic stories - impacting on both their profile and sales, and overall, to help the work in building an audience and community.

This growing offering of virtual courses are designed so that you can follow them in the time that suits you around writing and life schedules, with challenges, prompts and downloads throughout. The longer courses include access to monthly virtual zoom Q&A sessions and have the option to purchase a discounted 1:1 session too, if bespoke guidance would be useful.

And launching in early 2021, a membership newsletter will support you in making incremental changes that will lead to you showing up in the best and most authentic way possible, building your profile, confidence and PR-identity.  With monthly challenges to explore, thematic and date prompts and reminders, opportunities to apply or pitch for, guest slots from industry and media insiders and more. (You can email nina@ninadouglaspr.com to register to hear about this launch – have me in your corner for the price of a coffee each month – coming soon!)
